The Catholic Psychotherapy Association is pleased to provide a variety of education, formation, and networking opportunities during our annual conference. We may choose to offer sessions which are not approved for CE credit when the topics and speakers have been estimated to be valuable to our members.
This program is co-sponsored by the Catholic Psychotherapy Association and R. Cassidy Seminars. Continuing education credit is available as an additional purchase (per diem) and as listed below. The 2022 CPA Conference offers a total of 12.0 contact hours (up to 6.0 hrs on Friday, April 29, 6.0 hrs on Saturday, April 30). Credit is awarded on a session-by-session basis, with full attendance required for the sessions attended.
Clinical and Academic registrants are eligible for CEUs as approved by the CEU provider. CEUs are available to qualified registrants who attend the live conference at an additional fee of $__ per day. (If you have attended a CPA webinar and purchased associated for CEUs for that webinar, the process will be very similar to that experience). A link to purchase CEUs will be provided to registrants via the conference app and by email.
NOTE: To receive continuing education credit, applicants must be present for the in-person or live facilitated session. CEUS are accredited per day. Thus, attending all sessions on Friday is essential to qualify for the 6.0hours of CEUs on Friday.
NOTE: It is the responsibility of the attendees to determine if CE credit offered by R. Cassidy Semiars will meet the regulations of their licensing/certification board. See detailed information below.

Thursday Pre-conference. No CEUs are available for the pre-conference Day of Reflection presented by Fr. John Horn, SJ.
As of January 7, 2022 all Main Conference sessions are approved for CEUs (details here) with the following exceptions:Friday, Main Conference, Plenary. Theology and Psychotherapy in Search of a Common Language presented by Msgr. Michael Magee, SSL, STD, is approved for "General CEUs" only (no APA credit). For details, see below.
Saturday, Main Conference, breakout session. No CEUs are available for the presentation: It Never Turns Off: Anxiety in prayer presented by Fr. Fred Cabras, OFM Capuchin, MDiv, LCSW, is not approved for CEU credit.
Catholic Psychotherapy Association may choose to offer sessions that focus on more explicitly faith-related issues relevant to the requests and practices of our members, but such sessions may not meet criteria for the awarding of CE credit.
