Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Catholic Psychotherapy Association (CPA) Conference, and why should I attend?

The annual CPA Conference is a gathering of mental health professionals and speakers from related areas of professional work and ministry, centered around psychological theory and mental health practice in accord with the Magesterium of the Catholic Church. The CPA Conference has always been high-quality, timely, and informative. This year's conference will have the same benefits and will allow attendees to either attend  in person, or participate from the comfort of their home on their computers or mobile devices. The solid line-up of speakers and presentations will help you grow spiritually and increase your professional expertise as Catholic mental health practitioners and affiliates.

The conference will consist of one pre-conference day, and two main conference days, guided spiritual reflection, real-time Q & A sessions, and an opportunity to interact and socialize with you colleagues. 2022 is a special conference year, as it marks the 20th anniversary of the Catholic Psychotherapy Association. To commemorate this event, we will be hosting a banquet on Friday April 29th and welcome all of our attendees to join for a special evening.

The 2022 CPA conference will take place on April 28th - 30th. Recordings of select sessions will be available to registrants for delayed viewing until May 31, 2022, at no extra cost.

How do I register?

Visit this page to register. (CPA members: please sign in to access member registration discounts). Please note that if you do not choose the bundle registration option, the Thursday Pre-conference, Friday evening banquet, and Main Conference (Friday + Saturday) are three separate registration items.

Am I able to register as a sponsor and/or exhibitor at the conference?

Visit this page to register as a sponsor or exhibitor.

There are several different sponsorship opportunities available to you, or you are welcome to email mhanys@catholicpsychotherapy.org should you have an alternative option mind.

If you are interested in exhibiting at our conference, please take a look at the additional information below.

  • An exhibitor booth consists of 1 table and two chairs. Access to power and internet are not included - these needs must be arranged between the exhibitor and the hotel.
  • Exhibitor registration includes registration for one person to participate in the conference (sessions, meals, networking, etc.). A second person may attend strictly to staff the table, however a second registration is required if this person wishes to participate in the conference.
  • One table (6') is included. Two tables require a second exhibitor registration (which would also cover the second person, see above). If the exhibitor wishes to have 1 table and 2 people, the second person could complete an Affiliate registration.
  • Meal tickets - all refreshments provided are covered within the exhibitor/affiliate registration with the exception of the banquet. We hope that exhibitors can attend all events associated with the CPA conference to maximize networking opportunities!

What if I am not able to attend all or part of the conference in person? Am I able to attend remotely?

This year we will be offering a virtual conference concurrent with our in-person event. One pre-recorded option per session will be facilitated with live discussion. Live prayer and networking with fellow virtual participants will be available via Zoom. Register HERE.
