The Catholic Psychotherapy Association 2026 Conference
October 22-24, 2026 - Franciscan University Steubenville, Ohio
The 2026 Catholic Psychotherapy Association Conference, titled The Promise of Virtue: The Path to Spiritual, Physical, Mental, and Social Health, will focus on the transformative power of virtue as a foundation for holistic well-being. One of the key premises of the Catholic Christian Meta-Model of the Person is “Fulfilled in Virtue,” Grounded in Catholic anthropology, this event will explore how virtue fosters spiritual, physical, mental, and social health, integrating mental health sciences with Catholic thought.
The conference will provide a comprehensive and balanced understanding of the human person, emphasizing how the cultivation of virtue addresses contemporary mental health challenges. By combining scientific research, clinical expertise, and the teachings of the Church, we aim to equip mental health professionals with the insights and tools necessary to promote authentic healing. Our mission is to empower practitioners to guide individuals toward a life of virtue, resilience, and flourishing, fostering holistic well-being in mind, body, and spirit. Ultimately, the 2026 conference envisions a future where Catholic psychotherapy, grounded in virtue, transforms lives and strengthens communities.
